1937 Mao work location in Wuhan (06_2008)

This site was a Guomindang (Nationalist Party) military training facility. For the few months he was there, Mao's Communist Party was allied with Chaing Kai-shek's Guomindang to fight against the Japanese. This is where he wrote a study of the conditions of peasants in Hunan Province. At the time, he said to "seek truth from facts." (Later, he sought it in philosophy.)
